To Whom It May Interest:

The theme of our current chapter’s administration will focus upon educational and historical contributions.  Our meetings are fun and informative.  We have a great line up of wonderful guest speakers for this coming year.

Our website is being redesigned, please check back for additional changes and useful links as they become available.  Many of our chapter chairladies have begun working on committee projects such as:  historical markers, school contests, and conservation.  We present awards in recognition of outstanding service in such areas as:  American History, Americanism, Community Service, and ROTC. We collect and disperse needed items to our soldiers, veterans, DAR supported schools, and American Indians.

In closing, I would like to note that the symbol of the National Society’s administration is a golden pineapple.  It symbolizes kindness and hospitality since colonial times and reflects the theme of the National Society’s administration:  “The Spirit of Hospitality Opens Doors of Opportunity." It is in the spirit of co-operation and unity that our chapter members accomplish so many wonderful endeavors as set forth by our National and State Society.

Sincerely,

Mary Ellen D. Menge, Regent 2009-2011
